Getting Started
Welcome to the official LockMyCal documentation – a booking system that watches your calendars, offers clients only genuinely free slots and, after a booking, takes care of invitations, video calls, reminders and payments.
The documentation guides you through everything from your first sign-in to running on your own server. In it you'll find:
- Scheduling setup – meeting types, locations, working schedules, time off, limits and booking approval.
- Connecting calendars and video calls – Google, Microsoft 365 and Outlook, Exchange, iCloud, Nextcloud and other CalDAV servers; Google Meet, Teams, Zoom, Jitsi Meet, Nextcloud Talk and more.
- Managing bookings – an overview of meetings, rescheduling, cancellation, contacts and analytics.
- Notifications and automation – emails, Slack, Telegram and webhooks for n8n or Make.
- Appearance and embedding on your website – booking page themes, colours, texts and widgets for your site.
- Payments and plans – accepting payments via Stripe and the differences between the Free and Pro plans in the cloud.
- Account management and administration – your profile, signing in with Google, Microsoft, GitHub or SSO, and administration of the instance.
- Self-hosting – installation in Docker, configuration, backups, updates and security.
The guides are written step by step and match the current version of the application. They'll help you set up LockMyCal exactly to your needs, solve a specific problem and make full use of features you may not have known about. Whether you use LockMyCal in the cloud at lockmycal.app or on your own server, you'll find answers for both variants – features available only in the Pro plan are marked with an orange Pro in the cloud box.
Note
LockMyCal gives you 100% control over your calendars, client bookings and data, without vendor lock-in or monthly per-user fees (Open source).
Don't want to take care of a server? Use the managed cloud at lockmycal.app with the Free and Pro plans, or Enterprise – complete managed hosting and operation on dedicated infrastructure for your organization (Cloud and managed hosting).
