Zoom
Besides the Google and Microsoft solutions, LockMyCal also supports the Zoom platform.
Zoom integration
- OAuth 2.0 (connecting your own account): In Integrations → Video, you connect your Zoom account through the standard sign-in OAuth flow ("Connect Zoom") — the app creates meetings on behalf of your own account, and no separate company/admin application is configured.
- Waiting Room and passcode: Every generated meeting automatically has the Waiting Room and a passcode turned on.
- Security: The link is generated as unique for each individual booking.
Activation
- Make sure your Zoom account is connected in Integrations → Video.
- For the specific meeting type, choose Video in the Location section and Zoom as the service.
When a booking is moved, the Zoom meeting is moved too.
Self-hosting: configuring the Zoom application
In the Zoom Marketplace, create an application of the type General App:
- Redirect URL:
https://yourdomain.com/auth/zoom/video/callback - Permissions:
meeting:write:meeting,meeting:update:meeting,meeting:delete:meeting,meeting:read:meeting,user:read:user - Under Event Subscriptions, turn on the deauthorization event with the address
https://yourdomain.com/auth/zoom/deauthorize
ZOOM_CLIENT_ID=...
ZOOM_CLIENT_SECRET=...
ZOOM_STATE_SECRET=random_string # openssl rand -base64 32
ZOOM_DEAUTH_SECRET=...
Warning
[BREAKING] since version 1.16: If your Zoom application cannot have the meeting:update:meeting permission, set ZOOM_UPDATE_SCOPE_ENABLED=false – otherwise users will be asked to reconnect Zoom because of a permission that the application cannot grant.
Note
Looking for a self-hosted alternative? Take a look at Jitsi Meet, Nextcloud Talk or MiroTalk.
