ICS Calendar Subscription
Certain calendar services cannot be connected via two-way APIs, but publish subscription feeds in iCalendar (.ics) format. LockMyCal can subscribe to these feeds and incorporate their events into your availability calculations.
Common Sources:
- Private secret Google Calendar iCal URLs,
- Published Outlook web calendars,
- Apple shared calendars,
- Room reservation exports and third-party booking systems.
How Subscriptions Work
- Read-Only: Events from subscribed feeds block busy slots and display in your dashboard calendar. LockMyCal never writes to subscription feeds, so they cannot be selected as destination calendars for new bookings.
- Automatic Refresh: The feed file is refreshed in the background at regular intervals.
- Calendar Limits: In the LockMyCal cloud, subscriptions count toward your connected calendar quota (Free: 2, Pro: 6).
Connection Steps
- In your dashboard, open Integrations → Calendars → Connect a calendar and select Calendar Subscription.
- In Feed URL, paste the direct
.icslink. - Name the integration and save.
Tip
If a feed URL changes or is revoked, LockMyCal will notify you to update the subscription address.
