Google Meet Video Conferencing
Connecting to Google Meet lets you automatically generate a unique video conference link for every newly created online meeting.
1. How it works
- For a meeting type, you choose Video as the location and Google Meet as the service.
- As soon as a client books a slot, LockMyCal contacts the Google Meet API in real time and generates a unique conference link (e.g.
https://meet.google.com/abc-defg-hij). - This link is automatically inserted into:
- The confirmation email for you and the client.
- The calendar invitation (
.ics). - The booking overview in the LockMyCal dashboard.
2. Activation in the Dashboard
- Go to Integrations → Video and connect Google Meet.
- Grant the application permission to create video calls.
- In the Meeting Types section, set the location Video and the service Google Meet for the meetings you want.
Note
Self-hosting: Google Meet uses the same project and OAuth client as Google Calendar. In the Google Cloud Console, enable the Google Meet REST API and add the redirect URI https://yourdomain.com/auth/google/video/callback.
