Apple iCloud Calendar Sync via CalDAV

LockMyCal provides real-time two-way synchronization with Apple iCloud Calendars, ensuring your appointments sync seamlessly with iPhone, iPad, and Mac.

Apple Security Requirements

Apple mandates two prerequisites for external CalDAV client connections:

1. Active Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your Apple ID.
2. Generating a dedicated App-Specific Password.

1. Generating an App-Specific Password

1. Visit the Apple ID management portal: appleid.apple.com.
2. Sign in with your Apple ID and complete the 2FA verification.
3. In the Sign-In and Security section, select App-Specific Passwords.
4. Click Generate an app-specific password, label it (e.g. LockMyCal), and continue.
5. Apple will display a password formatted as xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx. Copy it.

2. Configuring in LockMyCal

1. In your LockMyCal dashboard, navigate to Integrations → Calendars → Connect a calendar and pick Apple iCloud.
2. Enter your credentials:
   • Integration Name: iCloud Calendar
   • Server URL: preconfigured (https://caldav.icloud.com)
   • Username: Your full Apple ID email address (e.g. jane.doe@icloud.com or doe@gmail.com)
   • Password: The generated app-specific password (including hyphens)
3. Click Discover calendars.
4. Select your calendars and click Save selection.
